Yes! 97th Birthday Celebration...

It's been a busy few weeks and during that time, I attended a birthday celebration for a friend's mother.  Birthdays are wonderful to celebrate and this was special as Ms. Lorraine celebrated her 97th birthday.  To commemorate, I made a special card using the Number of Years stamp set bundle with touches of embellishment from the Jar of Love stamp set.  The color scheme uses Watermelon Wonder.

Naturally the card interior needed some special touches too!

You would never know that Ms. Lorraine is 97 years old and I am sure that I'll be changing the number for several years ahead!

Thanks for stopping by and don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions or wish to purchase any of the products used in the card project!

Fall is in the air!

Cooler temperatures have finally arrived and there's a feeling of Fall is in the air.  Here in Georgia, it was a long hot summer and I have been looking forward to the cool evenings and crisp early morning temperatures.  It won't be long before the leaves will start to show their vibrant colors.  With Fall arriving, one of the cards in a recent class used the Vintage Leaf Stamp Set and the colors of fall were selected from the Petals & Paisley Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The sentiment is from the Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set.

In addition, I'm sharing with you a project that was made in the recent neighborhood craft class...it's a pumpkin made using mason jar lid rings!  The idea came from Pinterest and is super easy, as well as, fun to make.

Pick your favorite fall spray paint color, spray the mason jar lid rings (size used is for wide mouth quart jars).  After the rings are dry, string onto a a cord ensuring that the lids are all facing the same way.  Shape into a circle and tie the string to hold the lids in place.  Embellish as desired.  Note:  fallen tree limbs were cut to use for our pumpkin stems.
